Zhang Shuang, 28, is a physical education teacher in Xiangru Town No.2 Primary School in Peng ‘an County, Nanchong, Sichuan, and a fitness expert on social media. In his spare time, he will share his fitness knowledge and teach fitness skills on social platforms.
According to Zhang Shuang, a few years ago, when he was still studying at China West Normal University, he once challenged the project of walking handstand with bare hands. In 2013, he was repeating the sprint college entrance examination in a middle school in Nanchong. I heard that occasionally practicing handstand can relieve stress, so he began to practice handstand. In the process, he happened to see that a challenger was able to walk 100 meters handstand with his bare hands in the Guinness China Night program, which gave him the idea of hitting the Guinness World Record for the first time.
In September, 2013, Zhang Shuang was admitted to China West Normal University, and insisted on getting up at about 5 o’clock every morning, practicing walking upside down on the playground, constantly falling and starting all over again. After that, under the professional guidance of teacher Wu Wang, I worked out a detailed training plan, and finally successfully won the Guinness World Record of "the shortest time for a 50-meter soccer handstand".
On November 17th, Zhang Shuang told the Red Star journalist that he had seen someone pulling a car upside down abroad on the Internet before, and he had been training himself to walk upside down for so long, and he also wanted to challenge it. In 2018, he began targeted training under the guidance of Wu Wang.

In order to win the record of handstand pulling a car
I have skipped rope continuously for 18,288 times.
Zhang Shuang told the Red Star journalist that because the car was too heavy, he couldn’t pull the car upside down at first. After a period of training, you can pull the car forward bit by bit. Zhang Shuang said that the most uncomfortable feeling of pulling a car upside down is the aching feeling of the arm after lactic acid accumulation. In order to make the body adapt to this uncomfortable feeling, he trained himself to pull a car with heavy load and various physical limits. Zhang Shuang said that he used to jump rope for 18,288 times in 2 hours and 20 minutes, in addition to doing 2,021 squats, 2,021 push-ups without getting up, and 3 hours of flat support.
At first, Zhang Shuang could pull a 1.4-ton car upside down only about 5 meters, but he made a plan for himself that every day he would pull a little more distance than the day before, thus accumulating bit by bit. Finally, a year later, he could pull the car upside down for 50 meters. Moreover, after a long period of training, it takes less and less time to pull the car 50 meters upside down.
On September 25th this year, at Xiangru No.2 Primary School in Peng ‘an, Nanchong, Sichuan, Zhang Shuang challenged the Guinness World Record for "the shortest time to pull a car 50 meters by handstand".On November 17th, the Guinness World Records officially announced that Zhang Shuang succeeded in the challenge and won the title of "the shortest time to pull a car 50 meters by handstand" with a score of 1 minute, 13 seconds and 27 seconds.
The Red Star reporter learned that Zhang Shuang has held four world records at present, including "the shortest time to walk on a soccer handstand with a 50-meter foot clip", "the most forward somersault when standing in a wind tunnel in one minute", "the most times to jump rope on a handstand continuously" and "the shortest time to pull a car on a handstand in 50 meters".
