At the meeting, Liang Zongan, director of the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine of west china hospital, introduced the related work of the first batch of Italian anti-epidemic medical experts in China.
Liang Zongan introduced that the medical expert group in Italy mainly did three aspects of work this time:
First, through various channels, including press conferences and exchanges with Italian government officials or managers, and through lectures, exchanges and seminars with Italian hospitals, medical institutions and research institutions, we introduced the process and practices of prevention and treatment in China, and we also had some experiences. At the same time, we discussed some successful practices with Italian research institutions, including Tozumab and convalescent plasma. Through these exchanges, Italy partially adopted some practices of China.
Second, through some health education lectures, such as how to prevent and treat COVID-19, we will introduce relevant prevention and control knowledge to Italian overseas Chinese, Chinese-funded institutions and international students, so as to stabilize the 300,000 expatriates.
The third is to hand over the aid materials to the Italian Red Cross. Liang Zongan said that he was very impressed by this visit: Italy is the birthplace of modern medicine, and the medical staff in Italian medical institutions are very professional and standardized, and they are also very serious and scientific. Liang Zongan thinks that there are many things that we should learn from Italian medical staff. Wherever the expert group went, many Italians often raised their thumbs or applauded to welcome the expert group, and even an Italian girl created a painting: Chinese and Italian medical staff held up a map of Italy. The expert group is very pleased.
Liang Zongan said that through this visit, China and Italy jointly exchanged relevant anti-epidemic practices and experiences. Covid-19 is the common enemy of mankind. We believe that through the joint efforts of international medical personnel and people all over the world, the epidemic will be controlled.
